Physical Education and Kinesiology
Becoming a physical educator provides you with the chance to improve the health and well-being of others, helping them build good habits that can last a lifetime. As a physical education and kinesiology (PEK) major, you will become well prepared to teach and inspire students from pre-k through adulthood in physical education classes and various sports, movement, and wellness environments. Our PEK program incorporates the latest technology, offers opportunities for hands-on learning experiences, and teaches you how to successfully develop and implement physical education lesson plans. By graduation, you will be eligible for certification in pre-K–adult physical education, and ready to embark on a career in a school or community setting to educate others in leading a healthy, active life. If you’re considering an advanced degree, we offer an accelerated bachelor’s to master’s program in Physical Education and Kinesiology, in which you can take two summer sessions and earn both degrees in four years, saving time and money.
